こういうことって、常に意識しておかないといけない気がするんだよね。「初の女性」っていう肩書き自体は歴史的に意味があるけど、たかいちさんは結局、男の保守派仲間と同じ古臭い考えを持ってる。そういうのじゃ女性の立場は全然良くならないよ。

悲しいけど、保守的な女性たちって、自分たちの集団の抑圧を維持する役割を果たしちゃってるんだよね。

It’s something I feel like we always have to be aware of. Just “the first woman” is very relevant historically sure, but Takaichi believes in the same backwards ideals as her male cohort, which is Not going to help women, at all, categorically. It’s sad, but conservative women are instrumental in maintaining the oppression of their own group.

個人的な経験から言うと、日本の女性は男性よりも彼女に対してずっと懐疑的だね。同じような、あるいはもっとひどいことを言う新しい女性の顔ぶれが出てきたところで、別に改善ってわけじゃない。みんな彼女の「働け、働け、働け」スピーチは好まなかったよ。でもそれでも多くの人はなぜか楽観的で、正直言ってちょっとナイーブだと思うけどね（笑）。

In my personal experience, japanese women are way more skeptical of her than japanese men. A new female face that spew the same or even worse bullshit is not exactly an improvement. People did not like her “work, work, work” speech. With that said most people are curiously optimistic, which i think is naive lol.

初の女性って肩書きなんて、女性の権利を守ろうとしないなら意味ないよね。むしろ、女性の抑圧を強めてるくらいだし。

肩書きは持ってるのに、行動や考え方を見ると、本来その肩書きが持つべき意味が全然伴ってないのが腹立たしい。

Being the first woman means little when she doesn’t find for woman rights. If anything she reinforces the oppression on woman. I hate that she has the title but when it comes down to it the significance the title should hold is missing in her actions and mindset.
