最終シーズンを分割する流れ、マジで嫌いなんだけど。
「ファイナルシーズン」って宣伝するなら、ちゃんと全部終わる覚悟で一気に見られる形にしてくれよ。
特にAoTのあのゴタゴタの後だとさ、
これが本当にBEASTARSの最終章なのか、それともまだ続きがあるのかすら信用できないんだが。
God, I hate this trend of having multiple parts for final seasons so much. If you advertise it as the final season, I want to be able to go into it prepared for it all to end in a complete conclusion. Particularly after the shitshow that was AoT, I don’t even know if this is the actual final season of BEASTARS or if there’s still more to come

これってストリーミング時代より前から始まってた気がする。
『ブレイキング・バッド』とかAMCあたりが、このクソみたいな分割ファイナル商法を流行らせた印象。
「ウォーキング・デッドのミッドシーズンフィナーレをお見逃しなく！」ってさ、は？？って感じだろ。
ちゃんと撮影（アニメなら制作）終わらせてから、まとめて見せろよ。
他にも先にやってた作品あるかもだけど、俺の記憶ではあそこが最初。
I feel like this all started well before the true streaming age began. Breaking Bad and AMC as a whole seemed to make these dumb ass multiple part season finales a thing. “Tune in for the mid season finale of The Walking Dead”. Like??? Fucking finishing your filming(or animation) and let us watch it concurrently.
Maybe other shows did it before them too but that’s where my memory goes.

今の人手不足と過剰制作の業界状況だと、
連続2クールを一気に作るのはほぼ不可能なんだよ。
年間100本もアニメ作ってたら、
そういうシーズン構成は正直もう持続不可能だと思う。
It’s also because making consecutive 2 cour anime in the industry is pretty much impossible with the current shortage of staff and the overproduction crisis.
A hundred anime a year makes that kind of anime season unsustainable imo.

俺が言いたいのは、単純にそれ必要なくね？ってこと。
どうせ大儲けしてるんだろ。
こっちは1年とか2年、下手すりゃ4〜6年も待たされて、その間も配信やグッズで稼ぎ続けてるくせに…
それでさらにシーズン途中で中断？
しかもワンパンマン3期みたいに作画がボロボロとかさ。
一方でダンダダンみたいに爆速で神クオリティ出してくるスタジオもあるのに。
My main point is it’s unnecessary. You’re making fuck you money. You’re already making us wait a year or two, sometimes 4-6 years while you’re still profiting off streams and merchandise.. and, we now need a pause mid season? Or the animation is trash like One Punch Man season 3? Meanwhile some studios put out peak ridiculously fast, Dan da Dan for example.

原作読んだ後、いまだにモヤモヤしてる…
あのラストは正直クオリティ低すぎた。
アニメでは最終章ちょっと変えてくれないかなって思ってる。
I still feel bad after reading the Manga….the ending was so low quality I hope they change the final arc in the anime or something

まあ、シーズン3の時点でかなりカットや改変入ってるし、
ほぼその方向に進んでる感じはあるよね。
I mean, season 3 pretty much going that direction seeing how much of the story was cut and changed.

それ聞いてちょっと希望出てきたわ。
『トライガン・スタンピード』見ても分かるけど、
大胆に改変してもちゃんと原作の“魂”は守れるって証明してるしな。
Oh really? That actually makes me hopeful, and Trigun Stampede proves they know how to keep to the spirit of the original source even when they make drastic changes.

この作品って動物の高校ロマンスドラマじゃなかったっけ？
なんか裏社会マフィアのアクション・ミステリー最終決戦みたいになってない？
（シーズン1を配信当時に見ただけだから、記憶違いだったらごめん）
Wtf happened i thought this show was animal people high school romance drama, this looks like some secret underworld mafia action mystery showdown show
(I only watched season 1 right when it came out I’m sorry if I’m totally misremembering it)

アニメって最初から殺人事件で始まってるだろ。
異種族の日常パートも挟まってはいたけど、
メインの話は普通に犯罪と殴り合いだぞ。
Anime literally starts with a murder. While there was interspecies daily life sprinkled in-between, the main plot of this anime is actually crime and brawling.

でもさ、それってシーズン1のラストもほぼそんな感じじゃなかった？
もうBEASTARSって、フィリピンのテレセリエとか
ラテンアメリカのメロドラマのルールで動いてるよな。
というか最初からそんなノリだった気もするけど。
I mean, isn’t that also what basically happened in season 1’s finale?
Beastars pretty much follows Filipino Teleserye or LATAM telenovela rules at this point. Or even since the beginning.

s1: zootopia but horny
s3: breaking bad but everyone needs a flea bath

一瞬でシフトしたよな。
It went from “will they kiss?” to “will they survive the domestic terrorism and organ harvesting?” real quick

“初デート”って呼ぶなら、
一応まだロマンス作品だな。
technically still a romance if you consider “stalking a hybrid terrorist through the back alley market” a valid first date

シーズン2で完全にバトル少年漫画路線になったよな。
まあ、それでもアニメ自体は好きだけど。
It turns “battle shounen” in season 2.
That said, I still like the anime.

個人的にはシーズン1の後で一気に失速したと思う。
最初は「社会風刺もある面白い高校ドラマ」だったのに、
気づいたら「低予算版ゴッドファーザー（全員ケモノ）」みたいになってた。
シーズン1は大好きだったけど、最終シーズンはもう見てない。
It went downhill big time after season 1 IMO. Went from loving Season 1 to not even watching the final season. Went from “interesting high school drama with social commentary” to “The Furry Dollar Tree Godfather” in a hurry.

いや、S2の方がS1より全然良かっただろ。
今のところS2がベストだと思う。
S2 was way better then s1. S2 is the best season so far.

原作と比べて、市長がちゃんと重要キャラとして扱われそうなのめちゃくちゃ嬉しいわ。
原作だとほぼ出番なかったしな。
ビジュアル的にもBEASTARSの中でトップクラスに不気味な見た目してるし、
あれで一回きりの登場だったのは正直もったいなかった。
今回のキービジュアルで、なお大津の手描き風スタイルをそのまま残してるのも面白いよな。
BEASTARSのKVってだいたいCGレンダーか2Dイラストのどっちかだけど、
2DでもCG寄りの質感で、正直見分けつかないレベルのこと多いし。
このKV見てると、アニメのデザインが初期の原作巻をベースにしてるのがよく分かる。
原作は巻が進むにつれてかなり絵柄変わったけど、
アニメは最後まで初期寄りのスタイルを貫いてたよな。
I love how the mayor is going to be a major and relevant character here especially compared to his source counterpart.
He’s arguably one of the most terrifying looking character in Beastars, and it’s a shame he only had a single appearance in the original.
It’s interesting they’re keeping Nao Ootsu’s hand drawn style with this KV.
Usually when Beastars has a KV it’s either a CG render or a 2D illustration.
And even if it’s a 2D KV it follows the style of the CG renders so much to the point that it’s kinda hard to tell the difference.
And you can really tell with this that the show’s style is based off the early manga volumes.
As the manga evolved the style changed considerably while the anime kept it til the end.
