今年見始めたんだけど、シーズン1の3Dはマジでひどいし、シーズン2はちょっとマシになってるけど…作品全体で見るとそこまで悪くはないと思う。結局ハマっちゃったしね。
I started watching it this year, and while the 3D is horrendous in season 1, and a bit less in season 2, I don’t think it’s that bad as a whole, i got really into it after all.

I’m watching it now and I would agree. Honestly the horrible soundtrack takes me out of it more than the cgi. Getting Sawano and Yamamoto for Season 3 was a major glow up.

Studio Signpost does a decent job since S3 but considering how popular the manga is in Japan you think the anime would get better treatment.

シーズン1の出来があまりにも酷くて、今のアニメ視聴者にとっては新規お断りレベルなんだよね。最近は基準もめちゃ上がってるし。
シーズン2・3と比べるのは、熟してないリンゴとアップルパイ比べるようなもんだよ。
Season 1 is so poorly produced its basically a newbie filter, at least for modern audience, since standards rose dramatically in recent times.
Comparing it with S2 and 3 is like comparing an unripe apple with apple pie.

俺なんかワンピースのドレスローザ編のラストバトル途中で見るのやめたし。何もかも進むの遅すぎてイライラしたんだよ。
今もテンポ悪いって話は聞くけど、最近は作画はめっちゃ良くなってるらしいしね。
でもワールドトリガーが放送された当時は作画も微妙で、そこにテンポの悪さが重なって最悪だった。
だからリメイクで作画もテンポも良くなるなら大歓迎。元の放送から10年以上経ってるし、今がちょうどいいタイミングだと思うよ。

Toei is INFAMOUS for the terrible pacing in their adaptations.
I stoped watching the One Piece anime midway through the final battle of the Dressrossa arc because I was done with things constantly taking FOREVER to happen.
Also, at least now while there’s still terrible pacing as far as I’m aware, animation goes crazy.
That wasn’t the case back when World Trigger release. So World Trigger was hit with terrible pacing + not the best animation.
So I’m all open to a remake with better animation + actually good pacing, specially considering it’s been over 10 YEARS since the anime was originally premiered.

誰かにワートリ勧めるとき、シーズン1後半あたりは毎回「5〜12分くらいスキップしても大丈夫」って言わなきゃいけないんだよね。ほぼ前回の内容の再利用とか総集編みたいになってるから。
テンポが本当にひどいし、尺稼ぎのための雑な手段を全部使ってるって感じ。
シーズン1は全部で73話だけど、無駄を全部省いたら40〜50話くらいしか残らないんじゃない？ってレベル。
Whenever I suggest world trigger, I have to always warn them to just be prepared to skip 5-12 minutes of an episode once getting near the 2nd half of season 1. Because it’s literally just a recap or reused scenes of the previous episode. The pacing is so bad, and it’s also because they forcibly used all the shitty tricks to pad for time. Season 1 has 73 episodes, if removing all the padding I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 40-50 episodes in duration left.

たくさんダウンボートついてて気の毒だけど…私はずっと漫画を追ってきてるし、今こそリメイクに最適なタイミングだと思うよ。
このまま漫画の続きをアニメ化してたら、まず会話中心の下準備みたいな arc をやって、その後また何年も原作ストック待ちになる。そんな状況じゃ新シーズンを出しても人気は上がらないし、逆に長すぎる空白期間で完全に忘れ去られるだけ。
それにシーズン1は今見るとマジでひどい。総集編だらけで、10分ぐらい前回の内容見せられて、OPに入って、本編5分くらいで終わって、EDとチビキャラパート……って流れが当たり前。今のアニメに慣れた視聴者が耐えられるわけない。
でも漫画は本当に傑作。ワートリでしか見たことないような面白いポイントがめちゃくちゃある。絶対、高クオリティのアニメ化に値する作品だよ。
I’m sorry you got so many downvotes… Though I’ve been following the manga closely for years and I think it’s the perfect timing for the remake.
If they continued adapting manga content, they would have made an anime season of a dialogue heavy set up arc then started waiting for more manga content to come out for years. It would take really a long time, the new anime season wouldn’t have boosted the popularity and it will only die down completely with the enormous wait time.
Meanwhile season 1 aged terribly bad. There’s soo much recap. You can start an episode, watch up to 10 minutes of recap, then there goes the opening, like 5 minutes of the actual content, ending and post ending Chibis talking. People who got used to modern anime like JJK, Chainsaw man or even, say, Sakomoto days, wouldn’t tolerate this quality of production even if the story is great.
That being said, the manga is just exceptionally good. There’s so many good story points that I’ve only seen in wt. It definitely deserves a high quality adaptation.

めちゃくちゃ内容をカットして、早く進めようとしてるんだよね。
そのせいで話はほぼ支離滅裂だし、キャラも全然掘り下げられてないから、誰が何を考えてるのか全然伝わってこない。
They skip an absurd amount of content to adapt it more quickly.
Everything is barely coherent, and the characters come across as incredibly shallow because they never both to explain what anyone is thinking or feeling at any given moment.

アニメでマシなのは超電磁砲だけ。でもそれですら、シーズン1の半分以上とシーズン2の半分近くをスキップする “視聴ガイド” が必要。
ライトノベルのほうが圧倒的に良いよ。
The only good anime adaptation is Railgun, and even that you need to watch with a filler guide that skips out on over half of season one and almost half of season two.
The light novels are infinitely better.

My heart goes out to Index fans, I bet it’s even worse than the One Piece anime adaptation.
