『NEEDY GIRL OVERDOSE』は、
2022年に日本のインディー開発者 にゃるら（Nyalra） さんと、開発チーム why so serious, inc.（WSS Playground） によって制作・配信された配信者育成シミュレーションゲームです。
Steamなどで配信され、国内外で大きな話題になりました。

ポテンシャルはあるけど、正直かなり簡単に台無しになりそうな気がする。
Ok but how do they plan on turning it into something watchable? There is potential but I feel like it would be easy to mess up completely.

どうやったらまともに仕上がるのか全然想像つかないけど、他に方法が思いつかないし…もうオリジナルストーリーにするしかないのかも。
I’m guessing a 1 ed per ep short anime? Idk how that could turn out decent but I can’t think of anything else unless they just make up a story.

だよね？「グノーシア」みたいにタイムループ系の話なら、各エピソードごとに小さな失敗のループで区切るのも自然だけど、この作品みたいに現実寄りのストーリーでそれやるのはちょっと変じゃない？
Yeah, right? At least with Gnosia being a time loop show it makes sense that every episode are two are a tiny arc that ends in failure and then you can “reset” the next episode, but it seems kinda weird for a more grounded story like this.

うーん……原作者が脚本を半分書いたところで降ろされて、しかも新しい監督は今まで目立った作品のないエピソード監督が数回だけって…。
さらに、Yostar Picturesもアニメ制作で当たり外れが激しいし、実際の作業はレベルが高いとは言えないCandyboxに丸投げしてる。
マルチルート作品のアニメ化ってだいたい失敗してるし……。
これ、発表の時点でもう詰んでない？
Uh…. original creator making half a script and getting kicked off halfway through + new director who’s only been episode director for a handful of non-notable series + Yostar Pictures spotty record of anime and their blatant outsourcing to the much less impressive Candybox + Anime’s generally terrible record of adapting multi-route stories. Is this anime doomed from announcement?

幸先はよくないよね。この話はゲームだからこそ完璧に成り立ってた部分が大きいし。
せめて話題になって、見れるレベルの出来になってほしいな。
It’s not a good start, and this story only works so perfectly in game format. Hope it will be topical and watchable.

原作者本人は、脚本を13本提出したって言ってたよ。
だから実際には半分の段階じゃなくて、ほぼ完成間近で追い出されたっぽい。
The creator said they submitted 13 scripts. It also seems they got kicked when it was nearly finished, rather than half-way.

ゲームをそのままアニメ化するって感じにはならないと思う。
おそらく漫画版みたいに、KAngel（あめちゃん）を主人公にして、原作のテーマを取り入れたオリジナルストーリーになるんじゃないかな。
I don’t think this would be a straight adaptation of the game, most likely it’ll be like the manga and be an original story using KAngel, with themes from the game.

一応、漫画版もあるんだよね。そこではPちゃんが大人の男性で、彼女のプロデューサーって設定。
ゲームのエンディングとはほとんど関係ないけど、メインテーマはしっかり描かれてた。
（残念ながら今は休載中だけど、けっこう良作だったよ）
Well the manga exist, where p-chan is an adult man and her producer. It barely has anything to do with the game endings, but the main theme is there (sadly it’s on hiatus, it was quiet good).

ちなみに、にゃるら本人はその漫画のストーリーあんまり気に入ってないらしいよ。

そうそう。話題になってるIPなら何でも拾う感じだよね。
でも今回のはYostarらしい作品だと思うよ。ネオン調のUI、アイドルっぽい輝き、そして配信者の崩壊――まさにYostar Playgroundって感じ。
Yeah, they pick up any IP with heat, but this one suits them. Neon UI, idol shine, parasocial meltdown – Yostar playground.

トレーラーを聞いた感じだと、Pちゃんは杉田智和さん、あめちゃんは天城サリーさんっぽいかな。
あくまで声だけでの予想だけどね。
From the trailer I think P-chan is Sugita Tomokazu and Ame is Sally Amaki, but that’s just me trying to recognize them based on voice only.

PVのナレーション、竹達彩奈さんっぽく聞こえたから、メインの女の子は彼女が演じてるのかも。
ゲーム自体は全然知らないけどね。
OP narration of the PV sounds like Ayane Taketatsu, so I’m guessing she’s the main girl. Know nothing about the game though.
