Had a dad with his two kids in the sports store I work at some time ago. While he was looking at sleeping mats his daughter managed to climb inside the display tent we had set up, pull down her pants and take a piss, while he didn’t even notice.. same reaction as in the clip!

I’m pretty sure he is trying on a neck gator that has one of those flat cardboard pieces in it and he’s struggling to get it off. Kinda makes sense considering it looks like they are in some sort of ski lodge with warm gear.

If that was my dad and I, the moment he saw the thing can move, he’d immediately grab my hand, keep me close, and order me to stay away from it. This dad was borderline useless since all he had to do was literally anything except hold his hands up in shock that the obvious consequences happened

People need to watch their goddamn kids. This is never a surprise. You know your kid is an asshole with no self control. Watch him so others dont have to suffer. Source: Have 2 kids that can get out of control if i’m not actively watching them.

100%親の責任だよ。 ちょっと悪魔の代弁をするなら（炎上しそうだけど）： あの展示品、めっちゃ上が重くて危なかったよな。あんな小さい子どもがあそこまで簡単に倒せるのは問題だわ。もし誰かがぶつかって倒れて誰かの上に落ちてたらどうするのって話。 でも結局のところ、親はちゃんと子どもを見とけ。
100% parents fault. Advocate for the devil (likely I’ll get flamed for suggesting this): That display did seem dangerously top heavy a small child like that shouldn’t be able to so easily push over. The difference scenario what if someone had bumped it and it collapsed onto somebody. Nonetheless: parents, watch yo damn kids.

That’s kinda the point of this sub. Kids are stupid. So you have to either make everything kid proof or watch your child.

We need to start sending the bill for shit like this to these parents. Maybe if they realize they are in fact responsible for their children they will start actually parenting

Not having a top heavy, extremely expensive display in a public area in the first place for example. If a small child was able to topple it, it was a liability from go.

マジでこれは典型的な「子どもが興味持ちそうで危険な展示」だよ。高価で重たい物を5歳児が倒せるって普通にアウトだろ。店側が100％法的に責任を負う案件。親も止められたかもしれないけど、5秒くらい背中向けてただけだし責めるのは筋違い。あれ子どもに倒れてたら大惨事だったぞ。
Seriously. This is a textbook attractive nuisance. Expensive, heavy shit a five-year-old could topple? Screw it down. Store bears 100% of the (legal) liability. Yes, there’s a parent there who could have theoretically prevented it, but he had his back turned for literally five seconds. Blaming him is absurd. Everyone is extremely lucky that thing didn’t fall on the kid.

indeed during the setup of this display hey should this 7000$ thing be easy to tip over, so insecure that a small child can roll it around? Lawyers would get you out of like 80% of the damages at least.
