今まで見てきた中でも、かなり独特なオープニングだと思う。
映像全部めちゃくちゃ好きだし（特に絵画っぽいやつ）、
曲も聴けば聴くほどどんどんハマってきてる。
This is one of the unique openings I’ve ever seen.
I fucking love all the visuals (especially the painting ones) and the song is growing on me more and more.

ほぼシーズン全体の展開がOPで流れてたの普通にヤバい。
Season 2 was filled to the brim with this.
When you look back, it’s quite crazy how almost the entire season was played out in the opening.

今回のOPも同じように、めちゃくちゃ上手くやってると思う。
いわゆる「ネタバレ」要素も抽象的だし、
一瞬すぎて見逃すような1フレームレベルの演出ばっか。
わざわざコマ送りで見ない限り気づかないよ。
They pulled it off really well with this OP as well.
A lot of the ‘spoilers’ – as well as being abstract,
are single-frame blink-and-you-miss-it type beat.
Stuff you wouldn’t notice unless you purposefully go through the OP frame by frame.

この章、連載時よりもアニメになった方が評価良くなったりするのかなって思ってる。

ただ一応言っておくと、BLEACHは原作者が直接手を入れて、
原作になかったシーンやバトルを大量に追加して改善してたんだよね。
最終盤がどれだけ改変されるかで、
エンディングの評価もかなり変わりそう。
尺的に見ても、最後の1クールはほぼアニオリになりそうだし。
Just to note, Bleach also had the benefit of the mangaka making direct changes and adding a ton of scenes and fights that weren’t in the manga to improve on the work.
I wonder how the reaction to the ending will be now depending on how much it is changed, since it looks like based on runtime most of the last cour will be anime original

It helps that it will be basically pure fights but also the introduction of so many super hyper convenience tools.

Some of the best moments of the series are in this arc. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s well received.

キャラ描写重視か、
ノリとオーラ全振りかで評価変わる。
正直、懐玉編の方が渋谷より好きって人は、
渋谷以降かなりキツいと思う。
I think it’s gonna depend a lot on how attached to certain members of the cast you are and how much you wanna spend time on characters vs hype moments and aura.
Like, the people who think Hidden Inventory is a better arc than Shibuya are generally not gonna have a good time with post-Shibuya in my experience.

週刊で読んでた時は流れ悪く感じた部分も、
まとめ読みしたら一気にテンポ良くなった。
チェンソーマン後半も似た感じだった。
24話に凝縮されるのは、
この章にとって相当プラスだと思う。
That was probably the key. Quite some parts of JJK didn’t flow that well when I read them weekly, but binging a couple of volumes in one sitting made the pacing immediately better.
Being condensed into 24 episodes will do wonders for this arc imo

このクールにはアニメ全体でもトップクラスに
クリエイティブなバトルがある。
This cour has one of the most creative fight(for me) in animes in general.

ノバラの扱いとか、
乙骨と真希がまともに会話しない問題とか、
根本的に詰んでる部分もあるんだよな。
To a degree, better pacing alone will help a decent amount, but there are some problems that are kinda just fundamentally baked in

バトルが完全に連戦形式だし、
派手な作画さえあれば大半の人は満足する。
Anime fans will like it more because battles in anime tend to be more hype than their manga counterparts, and Culling Games is just a battle gauntlet.

アニオリ大量投入しない限りそのままだと思う。
Yeah, I think it’ll be better received because MAPPA will deliver on the fights but the story complaints will carry over unless Goshozono adds a fuckton of anime original scenes

There def will be some added scenes and less narration which will make it better like with S2.

原作のこの章、俺はわりと好きな方だけど、
正直ちょっとゴチャついてたしテンポも雑だった。
アニメなら流れがかなりスムーズになるだろうし、
バトルや新能力も、上手く作ればマジで別次元になると思う。
Absolutely. I already like the manga arc more than most but it was a little messy and sloppily paced.
It will feel smoother in animation plus the fights and new powers will be absolutely transcendent if done right

みんなが不満に思ってた部分の多くは、
正直そんなに変わらない気がする。
バトル自体は評価高いし、アニメ化でさらに映えると思うけど、
合間のパートとか、
並行して話が進むせいで展開が遅く感じる構造は、
全体を組み直さないと直せない。
でもそれやるとバトルが壊れるから、たぶんやらないだろうな。
批判の多くは死滅回遊そのものに向いてて、
複雑なルールがバトルにあまり活きてないとか、
アメリカ軍が後半で絡んでくるところとか、そういう部分だと思う。
ただ、渋谷編から追いついた人や、
S2後に原作読んだ人には、
結末を知った上で見る分、印象はだいぶ変わるかもね。
I feel most of the parts people had issue with are unlikely to change much.
The fights themselves are beloved and they’ll likely work better in animation, but some of the inbetween parts or the fact that the story takes a while to actually progress due to how much of the arc happens in parallel are hard to change without restructuring it all, but that’d fuck up the fights so I doubt they’ll do that.
Like most of the issues I’ve seen people have with the arc are [JJK manga] focused on the wider Culling Game itself.
Stuff like the convoluted rules not really interacting much with the fights themselves since most of the actual competition happens before the characters get there, or the later involvement of the US military.
I do think it might help people who caught up during Shibuya or those who read the manga after S2 see the arc in a new light, especially knowing how things turn out and having more balanced expectations.
