校長の口頭での虐待が原因だと親は言っているが、校長は記者に対して「そんな発言はしていない。これらの主張は受け入れられない。」と言っている。

バカな校長と経営者たちだな。保育士が見つからない地域もあるのに。8人も同時に辞めるって、経営側に問題がある証拠だよ、特に日本では。

日本では、通常人々は簡単に辞めたりしないから、これが一斉に起こったってことは、相当な状況だったんだろうな。

The cause, parents say, was the principal’s verbal abuse, though the principal told reporters, “I never made such remarks. I cannot accept these claims.”

Stupid principal and owners. Childcare workers are near impossible to find in some places. 8 people quitting at the same time indicates a problem with management/ownership – especially in Japan.

People are very hesitant to resign in Japan usually. It must have been hell on earth to push these teachers to collectively leave.

うちの息子の保育園でも、今年は経験豊富なスタッフがほとんど辞めてしまった。新学期が始まる前に知らされなかったから、転園することもできなかったけど、今はもっと安定した別の学校に転園させるつもりだよ。スタッフが一斉に辞めるなんて、本当に悪い兆候だよ。

Nearly all the experienced staff resigned at my son’s nursery school this year. We weren’t made aware before the school year started, so we didn’t have the ability to switch him, but we’re switching him to a different, much more stable school this year because of it. When that many staff members quit at once, it’s a very, very bad sign.

この校長、なんとかしないとダメだよね。子どもたちも教師たちも安全で歓迎される環境で働けるようにしないと。

Being so terrible your entire staff quits at the same time is crazy work. Hope the principal or whoever’s in charge and making things difficult is booted so the kiddos and staff can work in a safe and welcoming environment.

Yikes. Considering how hard it can be to find a place at all, if the parents both work and don’t have family that can take care of the kids they’re faced with potential income losses.

名古屋の保育園で働いてた娘が言ってたけど、給料は安いし、休みを取るときも同僚に罪悪感を感じさせるような言い方をされるらしいよ。「休むことで同僚にどんな影響を与えるか考えてみて」って感じ。

My daughter used to work for a daycare in the Nagoya area. Pay was terrible, and they were really into making people feel guilty about doing off. ‘Think about what you’re doing to your coworkers if you take off’ was the thing she always got. And then more of that when she resigned. Like, that’s on you. If someone taking off is that much of a problem, you need more workers.

Wtf must have happened for 8 staff to resign seriously this needs a major investigation.

もし校長が「新しいスタッフを雇う」って言っても、こんな状況で新しいスタッフがその校長を信頼できるわけないでしょ。まるでサイコパスみたいだ。

If the principal claims that he will hire new teachers and continue how will the new teachers trust the guy. He sounds like he must be a sociopath with shit deflector type responses like “I don’t know” or “it just ended up like this!” He missed his true calling and should be in politics.
