That’s a good thing. Let’s get along with both China and the U.S. the economy should come first.

hmmmmm🙃

I imagine Xi is pretty bored by the formality. He could be attending grandchildren, but no, he is here dealing with this.

Xi looks like his social battery has drained after meeting all these people the past few days.

He always looks like that. It must be quite draining running the world’s largest authoritarian dictatorship.

His expression is worthy of a new meme.

Takaichi has repeatedly spoken out against the CCP and claimed Japan’s war time actions to be exaggerated. I doubt he was thrilled to meet her, and vice versa. Although as we saw with Trump, Takaichi seems fairly good at bullshitting her way through things.

That she is, but Trump is easy to bullshit.

Yeah, not really a fan of her and I don’t think stupid rhetoric should be rewarded with positions of prestige and power like PM, but I also know with the way the Parliamentary system works in Japan a lot of her extreme right wing rhetoric will not turn into action. All i hope for is some level-headed governance, and some stability and not a PM resigning every year.

I hope she was wearing “that” patch described in the movie “The Interview (2014)”. Do you still remember this movie? On the other hand, I wish him good health so that he can continue to lead his country to what his idol “Mao Zedong” once brought, ie total d*saster!

Fine to be against the Chinese government, but why are so many “anti-CCP” people really just anti-Chinese?

Because they are. Seriously, just try to imagine what a KMT administration of mainland China would look like under Chiang. The minorities wouldn’t exist anymore.

Not really anti-Chinese but anti-CCP. We have administrations that are like revolving doors because we have democracy here but not dictatorship.

Also, respecfully, look in the mirror. Japan isn’t in the top 50 in press freedom. In a democracy, people should choose their leader. When is the last time the Japanese public, not the LDP, selected their Prime Minister? It is an insult to the word democracy, to compare a country like mine, Canada, to a country that is effectively a one-party state, with the press echoing the sentiments of the LDP. In any other “democracy” the Abe Moonie scandal, slush fund scandal, and like 10000 other events would have led to a change in power already.

Except we are talking about magnitudes of difference here. China is near the very bottom right next to North Korea. The two are not even comparable. Right now there have been 119 journalists that have been detained in China.

Yeah quite right. The so-called freedom press (old mainstream media) is under control of foreign influences. That’s why the so-called rank is so low. They don’t want the opposition opinions and ignore them. It is called in Japan freedom of no-reporting by the old media. LDP did not have PM jobs just years ago. Now they are back because maybe we have democracy. These so-called Abe scandals reported in most Japanese media and consequently in foreign media are just echos of the anti-Abe campaign influenced by you know whom by now. They distorts words and facts just like President Trump described “fake”. Open your eyes!

So that people and even those CCP elites really take actions to stop him and stop his dictatorial reign. You have to see the darkest night before you see the dawn. Godspeed!
