No, it’s referring to simply the first stage of the race, which takes up 11 chapters. SBR has longer chapters than the other parts, so they might not fit the entirety of the first stage in this longer episode, but who knows.

大人数（大馬数？）のシーンはCG使ってる感じだね。
馬のCGの使い方としてはかなり良いと思う。
Looks like the close up shots are hand drawn, while the large crowd shots use CGI

あとはDavid Productionがリソース配分を上手くやれるかだね。
原作と同じで、このアニメも長距離マラソンになるはずだから、
最後まで体力を配分して走り切れるかが重要だと思う。

Hopefully DavidPro can allocate their resources effectively. Just like the source material, the anime will be a long marathon where they must be able to spread their energy throughout the entire run.

It says “March 19th 1st stage” so I’m guessing the batch releases are gonna be divided by the races. Which. Sucks. I don’t like that we’re probably getting Jojo batches again, but I guess the structure of Steel Ball Run works in favor of the batches

最初だけ特別に長くして第1ステージを一気に終わらせて、
その後は普通の週1放送になるのを祈ってる。
マジでそうなってほしい。
Because the first episode will be 47 minutes, my hope and prayer is it’s a longer first episode for the premiere so they can get the first stage out of the way, then from there your standard weekly episodes. That’s what I’m hoping for

I don’t think that’s what’s being implied. The info we have is that on March 19th we’re gonna get a 47-minute episode, not a batch of episodes, and that they’re calling what we’re getting on that day “1st Stage”, which to me implies that’s the name of that one sole episode.

レースが細かくステージ分かれてるから、
バッチ形式自体は相性いい気もするんだよな。
実際ステージは9個あるし。
I feel like the batch structure would work since the races are divided in many stages (9, to be exact)

そんな無茶な構成、さすがにありえないと思う。
But it would be an incredibly uneven and unbalanced set of batches. There’s no chance we’re getting a random batch of 3 episodes at some point, that’s just silly.

ストーンオーシャンは正直、
見た目が全体的に平坦に感じる場面多かったけど、
これは一カット一カットが魅力に溢れてる。
This looks super good, damn. Stone Ocean felt somewhat flat visually most of the time compared to this. Every single shot oozes charm.

ストーンオーシャンの後に黄金の風を見返したら、
クオリティ差がエグいくらい分かった。
色使いもシャープだし、構図も音のミックスも上。
ストーンオーシャンは名シーン多いだけに、
アニメ化が微妙だったのが本当にもったいない。
Rewatched Golden Wind after Stone Ocean and it was extremely noticeable how much better the Golden Wind adaptation was. Sharper colours, better composition, better mixing. It’s a shame how meh the Stone Ocean adaptation was because it has some of the most iconic encounters in the series
