日本社会は「空気」とか社会的な規範で成り立ってる。立花はそういうルールを破ることで支持を得てたんだ。ずっと許されてたせいで、それが普通みたいになって真似する人も出てきた。今回の件は、政府が他のポピュリスト政治家たちにも「調子に乗るなよ」ってメッセージを送ってるように思える。
Japanese society runs on social norms. They are enforced primarily by societal pressure. Tachibana seems to have built his constituency, such as it is, by breaking those norms. He always seemed to get away with it which unfortunately normalized the behavior and inspired others to emulate it. I imagine part of this is simply the government trying to send a wider message to other populist political types to turn it down a notch.

まぁ気持ちはわかるけど…法律なんだから払えよ。国営放送ってのは大事なんだ。確かにNHKも変わるべきだけど、金持ちだけがメディアを支配する社会なんてもっと嫌だろ？
Look…I get it..it seems like a waste of money. But it’s the law. Just pay it and shut up moaning. Having a state broadcaster is important and yes nhk needs to change but you REALLY don’t want all your media being owned by very rich people.

もしNHK党を「NHKと戦う政党」だと思ってるなら、彼らが実際に何をしてるか見たことないんだろうね。立花は典型的な炎上系のかまって屋で、常に騒ぎを起こすのが仕事みたいなもんだ。NHK叩きはそのための道具。選挙荒らしや嫌がらせ、MAG A帽被って差別発言、敵対者への中傷、ポスター枠の転売までやってる。襲われてケガした時も、包帯を何週間もつけて同情を買おうとしてた。しかも去年は「NHKから国民を守る党」を自分で失って、「政治家女子48党」って新しいのを作る羽目になった。政治コントみたいな話だよ。
If you think the NHK Party is about rallying against NHK, you probably haven’t looked at what they actually do or campaign for… Tachibana is a massive attention whore and troll of the worst sort, and his full-time job is pulling stunts to attract controversy. Attacking NHK has been a useful tool for that, but he also runs in random elections just to spoil them, registers multiple times so the party can hijack and sell election poster space, harasses his enemies, campaigns wearing a MAGA hat, starts saying obscenely racist things once Sanseito steals his thunder… Also he got slashed, which wasn’t his fault, but he wore the bandage for ages to try to garner sympathy. Honestly this isn’t even half of it. Also in a hilarious political comedy, last year he also lost control of the original Protecting the People from NHK Party, which is now The Collaborative Party, and had to create a new one.

まったく何も知らなかったわ。20年日本に住んでるのに、俺は投票権がないんだよな。一方で日本人がイギリスに住んでたら投票できるってのに。
Clearly I’m completely ignorant of it. Must be because despite being here for twenty years I’m not allowed to vote…. Meanwhile Japanese people living in the UK can.
